E Ink has announced the launch of E Ink Spectra 6, a groundbreaking new color product designed for in-store advertising, indoor signage, and paper sign replacement. Spectra 6 offers unparalleled color saturation and vividness in a reflective display, delivering a visual performance similar to the most advanced paper color printers on the market today.

Spectra 6, a result of years of research and development, builds upon the previous generations of the Spectra platform, aiming to provide a print-quality replacement for any paper sign, including POP displays, signage, posters, and other in-store advertising. The enhanced color spectrum and advanced color imaging algorithm of E Ink Spectra 6 enables full color to improve marketing and advertising performance.

E Ink Spectra 6 is optimized for up to 200 pixels per inch (PPI) depending on the panel size, a typical contrast ratio of 30:1, and an operating range of 0-50 degrees Celsius. It will be available in a variety of display sizes, catering to different application scenarios. Furthermore, Spectra 6 can create a partial image flashing effect, called E Ink Sparkle™, enhancing the impact of advertising messages through motion and boosting the efficacy of product promotions. E Ink Spectra 6 display modules are slated for release in 2024.
