Samsung recently had a successful unpacking launch of Galaxy S23 smartphones, featuring an appealing design, reliable cameras, dependable performance, and impressive battery longevity. Among the array of minor yet impactful enhancements that Samsung introduced was the improved quality of 8K video recording. However, it appears the company has reversed its approach.
Reddit users are saying that Samsung has deactivated the high bitrate videos feature in the 8K video recording mode. A number of Galaxy S23 Ultra users have noted that while the feature was accessible initially, it mysteriously vanished after the June 2023 security update. Currently, the feature is inaccessible and appears greyed out in the settings section of the camera app, specifically within the advanced video options.
