Video: Meet the 2021 AHA Board Chair Rod Hochman, M.D.

Rod Hochman, M.D., is trained as a rheumatologist and immunologist. He started his health care career as a clinical fellow in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School and went into practice at the Guthrie Clinic in Pennsylvania.

Today, he is president and CEO of Providence and leads the health system’s 120,000 caregivers at 51 hospitals, nearly 1,000 clinics and hundreds of programs and services in Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington. Dr. Hochman is the 2021 chair of the AHA Board of Trustees.
